Pattaya City extends the duration of a giant drainage pipe laying project on Pattaya Beach Road to the beginning of this July after facing many problems. Expectantly, it will help to drain flooding water.
On May 5, 20, reporter followed up the progress of gian drainage pipe laying project on Pattaya Beach Road, which Pattaya City spent 98 million baht to lay drainage pipes throughout the Pattaya Beach Road with 2800 meters distance. Presently, the project has been in progress and returned traffic surfaces for more convenient traffic. Moreover, Mr. Pattana Boonsawad, Pattaya Deputy Mayor accompanied by executive paid an area visit on April 28, 20 and found that the laying line is difficult for digging the road surface, which may cause danger. So the operations must be very careful.
Therefore, the project’s duration is extended the contract duration for a month from the origin end in May 2020 to the beginning July 2020. Pattaya Deputy Mayor revealed that the said project is laying giant drainage pipes under the ground to prevent beach sand erosion and to drain overflowing water. If the project finishes, it will solve drainage floods on Pattaya Beach.
